Children’s Cancer Organization Seeks Assistance

Kids Cancer Connection, an all-volunteer nonprofit, offers a variety of programs and services to children and their families to help them through the challenges of childhood cancer. KCC provides patient psychosocial services to more than 100 children’s hospitals across the country and operates the LA-based Kids Cancer Connection Family House and Wellness Center.

At the Wellness Center, KCC provides temporary housing, at-no-cost, to out-of-area families with a child receiving medical treatment at area facilities. The house also offers year-round social activities and a setting for educational services for children with compromised immune systems unable to attend school. KCC also offers psychological services, peer-counseling services and resource information for families sponsored by the Wellness Community.

KCC has a need for a donation of a matching highboy dresser and shorter side-by-side dresser (about 4 feet across) that would match the bed they currently have. They are also seeking two side tables, preferably glass topped and an accent chair for a bedroom, as well as artwork for the house. Please contact Steven Firestein, Volunteer Director for KCC at (818) 465-6167 or if your organization can help.
